This darling and recently remodeled three-bedroom, two-bath home is located walking distance to downtown Santa Margarita in a safe and historic neighborhood, and borders a seasonal creek. Mature trees shade the property and the kitchen is fully outfitted for creating culinary memories with friends and family. A specious front patio features outdoor seating and a gas firepit, for cozy conversations over wine or coffee. The owner is a Certified Advanced Sommelier & owns a wine bar.
Guests will enjoy the spacious living room with a smart TV (log in to your own streaming services, no cable), a large and well-equipped kitchen with retro décor, and the three private bedrooms with two full bathrooms. Enjoy a private outdoor sitting area and full bath attached to the primary bedroom, a large front patio seating area, and a fenced dog run for your family dog! Washer/dryer available for guest use plus a ping pong table in the garage. High Speed wifi as well.
The primary bedroom features a king size bed, an attached full bath and a private deck. The first guest bedroom has one queen bed. The second guest bedroom has two double (full) beds, and the shared full bathroom is across the hall from both guest bedrooms.
The entire home and property is for guest use only. We ask that you do not park a car in the garage but guests are welcome to access the garage to use the washer/dryer or play ping pong. There is a large sprinter van parked in the driveway periodically when the owner is not using it. There is space to park one car next to the van, or two cars in the driveway if the van is gone. There is more space to park two more additional cars across the street from the home. Four cars max, please, and no oversized vehicles, RV's or trailers/boats.

Santa Margarita is a darling rural town, evenly divided by the Southern Pacific Railroad and nestled at the northern foot of the Cuesta Grade, just over the hill from San Luis Obispo and minutes from wineries, Santa Margarita Lake and Paso Robles Wine Country. The home is walking distance from the main street of town, where one will find several excellent restaurants, wineries, a natural food market, antique shops and an outdoor adventure tour company
Having a car is best as the home is centrally located and close to all the San Luis Obispo County attractions. That said, Santa Margarita is served the the RTA public bus system of San Luis Obispo County. The bus stop is about a 1/4 mile from the home. Uber and Lyft are available but not prolific. Limos and wine tasting tour buses can easily pick up and drop off at this home. There is parking for one car in the driveway and two more cars on the street. The Main Street is only 1.5 blocks away, with restaurants, natural food store, antique shops, etc.
The backyard is not fully fenced and opens to the back alley. If you bring your dog, please be aware of this and watch them in the back yard to ensure they do not wander into neighbors property. Dogs are secure in the dog run along the west side of the home.
We have five security cameras outside the home for your safety and the protection of the home-two in front, casting down on the driveway; two in back, casting down on the backyard; and one at the entry, casting down at the front door. Tampering with the camera system in anyway is grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
Rates & Availability
Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
